Welcome to the ART OF ILLUSIONS SUMMER CAMP! Bridget Riley is an OP Artist who created some remarkable illusions in art! We are going to work together to create some awesome illusions this week. First, let's consider . . . WHAT IS AN ILLUSION? Share with us! Next, why draw an illusion? What do we accomplish by drawing illusions? Last - HOW can we create illusions? The primary supplies we will use are: 1. Ebony pencils to create VALUES (this is a super important word for us this week - we will practice creating different values on what is called a VALUE SCALE) 2. Paper blenders or tortillions 3. Good quality colored pencils like prismacolor 4. Erasers, rulers and other supplies That's it! Can't wait to talk and get to know each of you - I hope you leave camp feeling SUPER PROUD!
